Three Scarborough Athletic Club members competed in the eighth race of the Northern Runner Winter Fell Race series which was held at Clay Bank East near Stokesley.
The race was over 9.1 kilometres and incorporated 307 metres of climb.
Neil Scruton was first home of the Scarborough Trio in an excellent 36th overall of the 170 finishers. He was also the first over-65 and remains unbeaten after his 5 races.
Rhona Haslam, who was competing in her first race of this series, made an excellent start when finishing third woman overall.
She was followed by her mother Sue Haslam who was a splendid fifth overall and also the first over-55.
Sue is also unbeaten in the series after her five races.
With just two out of a possible three scorers, the Haslams finished as the second of 12 teams.
In the Junior Races at Clay Bank East, Emma Clapton who had competed in the Yorkshire Cross Country Championship the previous day, was the first under-14 girl for the second time in six days, and her brother Sam Clapton took care of the under-12 boys race once again.
