Scarborough angler Ian Thompson has netted fourth spot in a national sea angling competition, which saw him snap up £500 worth of fishing tackle vouchers.
Forty-one-year-old Thompson earned fourth place in the Sea Angler Penn Premier League, with the three anglers ahead of him including an English and an Irish international.
“I am chuffed to bits to get fourth place in my first premier season, I was only promoted the previous year.
“I receive £500 in Penn fishing tackle vouchers for taking fourth place.”
Thompson’s wins in 2013 included the Whitby Open and the Redcar Open.
