Scarborough RUFC turned in perhaps their poorest performance of the Yorkshire One season and were completely out-played by a lively Hullensians side in a 27-5 loss.
Playing with the wind and rain behind them the Humbersiders dominated both territory and possession running in three tries in a one-sided first half.
Ex-Hull fullback Guy Martinson added seven points with the boot for a 22-0 half-time lead.
It looked as if a rout was on the cards when flanker Alex Cullen went over for a fourth Hullensians’ try early in the second half for 27-0.
However the visitors knuckled down and improved as the half progressed but lacked the penetration to take advantage of their pressure and failed to make much impression on the home defence.
Following a fiery finish in which three Hullensians players and one from Scarborough were sin-binned, prop Wesley Langkilde was driven over from a catch-and-drive late in the game for a Scarborough consolation try.
