SCARBOROUGH-born Darren Fearn continued his progress at Newcastle Falcons when he made his first start for the club in their 33-3 LV= Cup win over Cardiff Blues at Kingston Park on Saturday.
Fearn started at prop alongside Euan Murray, recently returned from Scotland’s World Cup campaign in New Zealand.
A delighted Fearn said: “I’m chuffed to bits to have got my first start for the club.
“I’ve had a few appearances off the bench and I’m enjoying every minute of my time at Newcastle.
“It was great to get a win and also to play alongside Euan, who has just come back from playing for Scotland in the World Cup.”
