Scarborough’s new signings Blake Nightingale and Benji Cottle landed in the UK earlier this week and are keen to get stuck into action, starting at Keighley on Saturday.

Open-side flanker Nightingale and outside centre Cottle were shown round the facilities at Silver Royd on Monday and both were suitably impressed with what they saw.

Cottle said: “We’ve had a good look around the ground and it looks awesome.

“The pitch looks great. I’ve heard a bit from some boys I know who have come over before and I’m excited to get going now.”

His enthusiasm is shared by his compartriot Nightingale, who said: “I’m pretty stoked to be here now and can’t wait to get going.

“We’ve had a look around and it looks pretty nice and from what I’ve seen and heard it’s a good environment to be in.”
