SCARBOROUGH Sixth Form’s Old Boys won the annual reunion match in memory of the late Chris Acklam, in wet conditions at Silver Royd last Friday.

The current crop of players from the college led at the interval, but a stunning turnaround by the more experienced Old Boys, led by Jaxon Tite, saw them run out 36-12 winners.

John Everitt was the star man for the Old Boys and he was awarded the man of the match award.

Christian Dente was also in sparkling form, scoring one superb individual try to help the Old Boys come from behind.

Dente said: “It was a good turnout at the game and we were pleased to see Howard Acklam, Chris’ dad, there.

“Big thanks has to go to Al at the club for helping out with the catering and for everyone who turned up. Everyone enjoyed the game and the night, which is good.”
