Scarborough had too much for the returning Exiles in a highly-entertaining game played in mild but windy conditions at Silver Royd on Boxing Day.

A ninth minute try by centre Paul White converted by fullback Rob Hazeldine saw the Seasiders to an early 7-0 lead.

It was however no one-sided affair with both sides going close before winger Matty Young went over in the 25th to stretch the lead two 12-0.

With Phil Watson, Tom Ratcliffe, Paul White and Aussie Rob James in great form in the second quarter, Scarborough should have been out of sight before half-time.

However they were pulled back on a couple of occasions when their final pass went forward.

However they did stretch their lead to 17-0 with an unconverted try just before half-time.

The Exiles did reduce the arrears at 17-5 just after the break but tries for Hazeldine and James in the 47th and 50th minutes saw the home side to a comfortable 31-5 win.
