Scarborough RUFC’s players past and present will gather for the ninth annual club reunion on Friday September 6.
The event, organised by Barry Beanland, has gone from strength to strength over the years, and yet again former players are set to flock from all of the country to be reunited with their old teammates.
Three SRUFC ties are set to be handed out this year, with Geoff Hill, Ken Anderson and organiser Beanland to be honoured.
There will be the usual tag rugby at 6.30pm for anyone who wants to get involved before the annual presentation of first XV shirts and past players ties at 9pm.
This year the focus falls on the SRUFC sides from 20, 40 and 50 years ago.
Pictured right is the side from 1993/94, which includes current club chief executive Graeme Young and current players Matty Else and Tom Fish.
Below are shots taken of the club’s teams in 1963/64 and a decade later in 1973/74.
Organiser Beanland was in the squad in both 63 and 73, while Keith Poskitt, who played in 73/74, went on to captain England’s under-19s Grand Slam winning side.
