SCARBOROUGH RUFC paid the perfect tribute to Andrew ‘Mo’ Stevenson with their performance of the season and a 41-0 win against Heath.

Player-coach Craig Farrell and his side observed an emotionally charged one minute silence before their game, which they went on to win in style.

Farrell said: “It was really emotional for everyone associated.

“I think some of the players, me included, found it really tough and were choking it back a bit.

“But once we got started we played some really great rugby. Some of our play reflected the type of character that Mo was.

“He loved to have a laugh and was a jovial character and we played with a smile on our faces, especially in the second half when we played some champagne rugby.

“It was a fitting way to honour Mo really.”
