A delighted Aldcroft said: “I can’t really believe it to be honest, the experience was pretty unforgettable and scoring the winning try was the cherry on the cake.”

Scarborough RUFC chief executive Graeme Young was quick to express his delight for Aldcroft.

“We’re over the moon for Zoe, she’s worked tremendously hard to make it to where she’s at now,” said Young.

“The club are delighted for Zoe, she’s a credit to both the club and the town.”
