LADIES are being encouraged to take up table tennis at a special event at Graham School a week tomorrow.
‘Pink Pong’ - a Ladies Only Introduction to Table Tennis and Chocolate, is an event being held at the school’s table tennis centre on Friday April 27, 7pm start.

Organiser Lee said: “We want ladies to know that Scarborough has a purpose built international standard table tennis centre ran by an accredited club that has recently been voted the best table tennis club in the country and the best sports club in Scarborough.
She added: “Ladies, why not give table tennis a go. It’s for everybody – the biggest participation sport in the world. Whatever your age or ability you can still really enjoy a game of ping pong.
“Just to make the idea even better after an hour of messing about with little white balls, be treated to the magic art of our professional chocolateur and her creations - to sample and buy.”
All equipment is provided just bring a pair of trainers and your away.
If there is enough interest the club are hoping to set up a ladies only league from the autumn.
Scarborough Premier Table Tennis Club will also be hosting a car boot sale on Saturday April 28 10am – 1pm at Graham School car park.
Pitches £5 per car. Refreshments and bouncy castle available. All proceeds to the club.
