Former England and Yorkshire cricketer and Manchester United footballer will be telling all when he visits Sherburn Community Sports Club in September.
Sidebottom, father of current Yorkshire bowler Ryan, will be joining comedian Pete Emmett to help celebrate the opening of the village’s new sporting and community club earlier this year.
Entry is priced at £12 with the event an all-ticket affair, including a hot sandwich supper being served up for guests.
The evening gets under- way at 7.30pm at the village clubhouse, and organiser and committee member Simon Dobson can’t wait to welcome the former Yorkshire and England man to the club.
A club spokesperson said: “Sherburn Community & Sports Club are excited to be hosting ‘An Evening With Arnie’.
“Arnie is a household name within Yorkshire sport and we expecting an entertaining evening full of tales from his times with Yorkshire CCC, in which he claimed nearly 600 first class wickets, his part in the 1985 Ashes triumph over Australia and his footballing career in which he represented Manchester United.
“This is the first of our proposed special events which we aim to repeat in future, making the most of our impressive facilities.”
Tickets, which are now on sale to the general public, priced at £15 can be purchased directly by calling in at Sherburn Community Sports Club or alternatively please contact Nick Dobson on 01944 710356 or via e-mail at email@example.com
