Scarborough RUFC’s herculean forward Nino Cutino says Saturday’s Yorkshire Shield quarter-final clash with Guisborough is a ‘last chance saloon’ for the Silver Royd club’s season.
The South African man mountain and his teammates fell to a third straight league defeat at Dinnington on Saturday and the forward is calling on the side to pull out all the stops to ensure their season isn’t drawn to a premature close.
Cutino said: “This is the last chance saloon for our season.
“The guys are all gunning for the cup. We’ve stuffed up in the league and the cup is definitely our last hope of achieving anything.
“We are full steam ahead for Guisborough and the last few training sessions have been great.
“The team needs to improve on our last performance, we were outplayed at Dinnington in every facet of the game.”
Cutino is delighted to see the name of skipper Phil Watson back on the teamsheet. He added: “It’s a massive boost to have Phil back.
“When he’s on the pitch everyone raises their game.”
