SCARBOROUGH'S rising star Jake Pratt, who recently appeared on a top TV talent show, has been billed for Lori's One Night Only at the Spa Theatre on Sunday.

The 10-year-old entertainer made it through to the semi-finals of ITV1 show Britain’s Got Talent and won the praise of celebrity judges Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and imon Cowell.

The programme aimed to find Britain’s top talent to perform in front of the Queen in the Royal Variety Performance and win 100,000.

Lori, who almost made it into the live heats of ITV1’s Grease Is The Word, has lined up a dazzling range of talent for her fundraising show including the YMCA Dancers, Shannon Irish Dancers, Yorkshire Coast School of Ballet, Hatton School of Performing Arts, Leeds College of Music, performer Rebecca Kelly, dancer Laura Adams and students from Scalby School.

The 18-year-old aims to raise money to study musical theatre at Tiffany Theatre College in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex with 1,000 towards fees and 6,500 for living costs.

Lori says: “It’s a great family fun show with some fantastic guests. It shows off pure Yorkshire talent and it’s a night not to be missed.

“I’m very excited about the show. It should be fabulous and just hope we can fill the seats and have an audience as excited as much as we are.”

She was runner-up and won 1,000 when she represented Scarborough in the Search for a Star 2006 contest at the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne after she sang Cabaret and Eva Cassidy’s I Know You By Heart in front of 1,400 people.

She will put the 1,000 towards the cost to study at Tiffany Theatre College.

Lori’s One Night Only starts at 8pm and on the night she will sell a CD of her music.
