Scores of schoolchildren combine with a brass band, a TV personality and professional singers for an annual carol concert.
They are all stars of the Festive Spectacular at the Spa, Scarborough, on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Hosting the event is BBC Look North’s Harry Gration. The United Schools Choir will be joined by vocalist Sue Blyth and Celebration Brass.
More than 500 tickets have been sold and organisers urged people to book as soon as possible.
“Everything is organised and we are looking forward to community Christmas night,” said chairman of the organising committee Nigel Wood.
“It promises to be a fantastic night with everyone getting together for a Christmas celebration.
“The aim is also to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities,” said Mr Wood. This year proceeds will be divided between Scarborough Hospital Special Care Baby Unit, the Boys’ Brigade in the town and the Rainbow Centre in Auborough Street.
“For a lot of people in Scarborough and surrounding villages the concert is the start of their Christmas. It is always a joyous occasion,” said Mr Wood.
He thanked the sponsors and everyone else who had suppoted the event.
Carols and Christmas songs make up the popular programme. Tickets can be bought right up to just before curtain up. They cost £9 with concessions at £7. A family ticket is £25.
Spa box office is on Scarborough (01723) 357869.
