GREEN-FINGERED enthusiasts can enjoy blooming marvellous displays as part of a village garden open day this Sunday.
Hutton Buscel residents have preened their florals ready for the annual event which raises funds for the local church.
Lynne Burnett, who will be welcoming people to Dale Cottage, one of 12 homes taking part, said: “We moved to the cottage in 1975 and have been doing up the garden ever since. It’s best described as a plants mans garden; we’ve got unusual plants, we have a pond, poultry, duck, parrots.
“It’s lovely to share it with people who are interested.”
The open day runs from 1-6pm and costs £3. Tickets can be purchased from the village hall, or from Dale Cottage for people on foot.
There will also be tea and cakes, book sale, tombola and plant sales in the village hall, and a pottery open studio and art displays.
