FORMER policeman turned author Mike Pannett turned out to meet his fans at a recent book signing.
Mike Pannett was in Scarborough for the town’s literature festival, and stopped off at WH Smith in Westborough to sign copies of his third book, Not On My Patch, Lad.
It details Mike’s work dealing with a cannabis farm, an assault on a young girl at a theme park and trying to identify and bring to justice the ‘Sunset Gang’ which is systematically targeting isolated warehouses and shops.
Mike was born in Yorkshire and his work as a police officer saw him based in London, where he dealt with violent and other serious crimes. He then moved back to Yorkshire to work in Ryedale.
His books chronicle Mike’s life and work as a country bobby in Ryedale, covering a patch which stretched from the borders of York to the Scarborough border – with Malton, Pickering, Helmsley et al in between.
