A SCARBOROUGH man is dancing on the ceiling after winning through to the next round of a BBC reality show.
Matt Flint, a 29-year-old tap dancer, was the first contestant to get through to the next round following his audition in London for So You Think You Can Dance, which airs at 6.30pm on Saturdays on BBC One.
The show, which began its second series over the weekend, seeks to find Britain’s favourite dancer. It sees host Cat Deeley joined by judges Nigel Lythgoe, Arlene Phillips, Louise Redknapp and Sisco Gomez.
Matt received a “Golden Ticket” after impressing four judges with his acrobatic tap routine.
Both former Popstars judge “Nasty” Nigel and Something For The Weekend co-host Louise described Matt’s performance as their favourite style of tap. Arlene raved about the “feast” that Matt delivered, while Sisco added he was impressed with Matt’s likeability as well as his dancing.
Matt now advances to the choreography boot camp stage of the competition, which will be screened in the coming weeks.
