THREE of Scarborough’s crown jewels will open their doors to the public after hours this weekend as part of the Museums at Night celebrations.
Both Scarborough Art Gallery and the Rotunda Museum will be open from 6pm to 9pm, offering visitors the chance to come along – free of charge and relax and enjoy their visit.
Crescent Arts are also opening their studios and the resident artists will be on hand both in the studios and the Gallery with their own unique interactive works.
The twilight celebration of the museums and heritage sector will give people the opportunity to experience the venues in a completely different way.
The promotion aims to attract people who wouldn’t normally visit, or can’t visit during the day.
People are encouraged to call in on their way out for the evening for a short “culture stop” or simply use the museum as a meeting point for friends.
