SCARBOROUGH’S Spa was taken over by a sea of dancing women as it played host to a full day of Zumba.
The Zumba by the Sea day saw hundreds of women shaking their stuff all in aid of charity.
The event was organised by Scarborough dance teacher Debs Horsham Batley to celebrate her five-year all-clear from breast cancer.
Money raised on the day was donated Cancer Research UK and St Catherine’s Hospice.
Debs said: “It was absolutely the best day I could have imagined.
“The rain stopped, the sun came out, and was just perfect.
“It was amazing being outside in the sun court, doing zumba and looking out to sea.
“All the holidaymakers were stopping to watch, and some even donated money for the cause.”
More than 20 instructors from around the country joined Debs, and the event was also supported by Boyes and QDos.
The dancing day not only featured Zumba, but also gave dancers the opportunity to try salsa, merengue, Bollywood, bhangra, and Caribbean reggaeton.
