Scarborough-born artistic director Tim Sheader has revealed his new season at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
The three times Olivier Award winner will helm To Kill A Mockingbird, which runs from May 16 to June 15,
The Sound of Music, the first time the theatre has presented a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, will run from July 25 to September 7.
Tim, who got his taste for theatre and directing at Yorkshire Coast College, won an Olivier this year for Musical Revival with Crazy For You, Regent’s Park most successful musical.
He won previously for Into The Woods and Hello Dolly.
Earlier this year Tim directed a producton of Into The Woods in Central Park, New York, with Amy Adams in the lead role. The production, which has seen people queueing round the block for tickets, is now being considered for a transfer to Broadway.
