Another top comic is heading for the Spa in Scarborough.
Chris Ramsey, star of the BBC’s sitcom Hebburn, will play the seafront venue on Wednesday March 5 next year.
The visit follows a sell-out date at Whitby Pavilion.
The Spa has a number of comics in the coming weeks including Andy Parsons on Saturday, John Shuttleworth on April 25, Roy Chubby Brown on August 3, Jimmy Carr in November, and Jason Manford in January.
Al Murray has played the venue this year – and the Spa has also become home to the Last Laugh Comedy Club, led by Phoenix Nights star Toby Foster.
Chris is also a panellist on Celebrity Juice and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
Also this week the Spa announced Amy MacDonald would play the venue on July 26.
Helen Broadbent, Scarborough Spa general manager, said: “The additions of Amy Macdonald and Kate Rusby show that we are now starting to attract a very different type of entertainment to the venue, whilst maintaining the normal main summer season of events.
“Adding Chris to the line-up shows that our reputation for comedy is going from strength to strength.”
Other top names booked include Jools Holland.
Tickets for both Chris Ramsey and Amy MacDonald go on sale on Friday April 19.
