Wizard wheezes, angel mash-ups, magic tricks and comedy routines are all part of a new show at the YMCA i n Scarborough.

Myths, Legends and Fairytales is the first full-length show from new company Twilight Productions.

The show features all of the various classes from Twilight and promises to take the audience on a journey through myths and legends using Music and laughter.

The co-founders of Twilight and directors of the show, Kerry and David Nicholson and Jodi Hatton said there’s something for everyone of any age in the show.

“The dance teams will recreate such mythical creatures as Medusa, ghosts and fairies, while the choir and singing groups will perform medleys and mash-ups with an angels and devils and witches and wizards theme,” said David.

The adult singing group – Local Vocals – will be singing Queen song It’s a kind of Magic while an illusion is performed.

The school of comedy will be exploring two meanings to the word legend as members present sketches based on the tales of such characters as Robin Hood, and performing classic routines from the likes of the 2 Ronnies, Rowan Atkinson, Victoria Wood and others.

Stunning costumes and lighting add to the mythical, magical feel of the show, said David.

It is on at the YMCA on Friday February 22 and Saturday February 23 at 7.30pm.
