Plans for a month-long arts celebration in Scarborough are taking shape with enthusiastic gallery owners eager to be part of it.
Festival organisers Coastival will host Coastival – A Different View in February.
It will be a celebration of the arts based around the theme of light with lots to see and do on Saturday February 16 and continuing for the rest of the month.
Visitors can expect to see light shows, installations, artwork, music for all tastes and unique activities for children.
Then for the remainder of February there will be more to see and do, again on the theme of light, at Scarborough’s growing number of galleries and cafes around the town and other venues.
Create director Wendy Clews said: “For 2013 we are looking at something different in that we will have a day of events – all with the ‘light’ theme, including music and activities for children.
“Then for the rest of February Scarborough’s large and varied range of galleries will come to the fore to be the focus for A Different View.”
