Four more to play it for laughs at Spa

Comedians Rich Hall, Andy Parsons, John Shuttleworth and Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown are the latest comedy stars to sign up to appear at the Spa.

Andy Parsons, who has completed three sell-out national tours to date, will appear at the Sarborough venue on Sunday April 20 with his I’ve Got a Shed’ tour.

An Evening with Rich Hallwill come to the Spa on Tuesday March 12 and audiences will see Rich perform his renowned deadpan and quick-witted style. Rich has won critical acclaim across the Globe by performing to sell-out audiences each year at the Edinburgh Fringe, throughout sell-out UK tours and at comedy festivals worldwide.

John Shuttleworth, referred to by the Guardian newspaper as a “brilliant comic creation2 will bring his Out of Our Sheds tour to the Spa on April 25.

Roy Chubby Brown, who will come to the Spa on Saturday August 3, returns with his well-known outlandish comedy style.

Roy, whose trademark outfit is a multi-coloured flying suit and goggles, has become a comedy star without appearing on television and over the past 30 years he has made more than 1,000 appearances and performed in front of 1.5 million fans.

The latest announcement from Sheffield International Venues, which took over the running of the Spa earlier this year, follows the news that Chris Addison, Paul Tonkinson, Al Murray plus the new Last Laugh Comedy Roadshow, run by Phoenix Nights star Toby Foster, will also be part of the Spa’s comedy line-up in 2013.

our local and regional audiences.”
