The line-up for Music port Festival - back in its original home of Whitby – has been announced and includes bands from as far away as Pakistan and West Papua.

There is home-based talent, too, including Marry Waterston and Oliver Knight from Robin Hood’s Bay.

Included in the line-up so far are: Dub Colossus Dub Band, Edward II , Reem Kelani (Palestine), Circle Of Sound (UK/India), Sona Jobarteh Band UK/Mali) , African Roots Fusion Band, Former Members Of Country Joe & The Fish (USA), The Hut People , Calaita, Modeste (Madagascar), The Moulettes, Julie Murphy (Wales), The Lani Singers (West Papua), Jaipur Kawa Brass Band (Rajasthan), Changing Horses, O’Hooley & Tidow, Arborea (USA), Two Man Ting, Molly Jones & Lee Southall, Three Foot Ninja, Celtarabia , Flying Chilli Beats , Soznak and Sura Susso (Gambia).

Musicport will be based at Whitby Pavilion from October 5 to 7.
