Award winning rock band Enter Shikari have announced a Scarborough date, as part of a 24-date UK and Ireland tour.
The post-hardcore outfit will play at the Ocean Rooms on Tuesday April 23.
The show is part of the ‘Return to Energiser’ tour, which will see the band play intimate shows in towns that they have either not played for a long time, never played before, or that never really get rock shows on their doorstep.
The group picked up a string of awards last year for their third album, ’A Flash Flood Of Colour’, including Kerrang! Magazine’s ‘Album Of The Year’ honour, as well as high placings in the end of year polls and round-ups from Alternative Press, NME, Rock Sound, Punktastic and many more.
December also saw the band closing out what had already been a massive year for them with a sold out UK tour, culminating in two nights at London’s 3,000 capacity Camden Roundhouse.
In a statement from the band, the St Albans based outfit said: ““We speak to a lot of people who come to the big shows and we’re very aware that a large number of them travel distances to come and see us.
“Not everyone lives in a major city, so we figured it was time we went out and tried to visit some people a little closer to home.
“It’s going to be awesome to be in small rooms and up-close-and-personal with crowds again, plus visiting some new places along the way”.
Support for all dates on the tour will come from hotly-tipped technical-metal and grime hybrid quintet Hacktivist.
The band have gained a reputation for their exciting live shows, picking up an award for their performance at the Reading and Leeds festival last year.
Enter Shikari tickets go on-sale 9am on Friday 18 January and are available from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
