The Jelly Roll Jazz Band, a local trad jazz trio comes to Farrer’s Barr and Brasserie on Monday January 18, as part of the weekly ‘Monday Menu Music’.
This trio of young musicians has built up a strong following thanks so their fun and energetic busking stints in Scarborough and other local towns. When not entertaining the public in the streets, the band performs at a range of events including exhibition openings, wedding receptions and village fairs.
The line-up for this performance will include Michael Grant, Nathan Steele and Robert Schmuck – who is no stranger to the Spa’s live music events. Robert has regularly performed live for the Farrer’s audience, proving a popular hit with his Jazz, Rhythm and Blues.
The Jelly Roll Jazz Band’s style is very much traditional jazz. They have a large repertoire comprising a variety of classic standards including Oh When the Saints, Down By the Riverside, The Bare Necessities and Moon River. Their main influences include bands such as The Temperance Seven, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, and The New Vaudeville Band.
Music starts at 7pm
Whether you’re looking to dine from the special menu, or just relax with a drink, everyone is welcome. Reserving a table is highly recommended, which can be made via calling Farrer’s direct on 01723 357860 and via www.scarboroughspa.co.uk
