Flag-waving, pomp and circumstance and classical chart-topping acts are at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre this weekend.
Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins will be joined by Lithuanian musician Martynas Levickis for the concert on Saturday August 3.
Katherine is a Brit award winner and Martynas is the the first ever accordionist to reach the top of the Classical Artist Album Charts.
Martynas, a former accordion World Cup champion who won Lithuania’s Got Talent while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, unleashed his self-titled Decca debut album last month.
It is a collection of show-stopping numbers, where a unique arrangement of Lady Gaga’s Telephone is set alongside a mix of styles, featuring gypsy dances, tango, classic French movie themes, Latin American rhythms and the music of Bach and Vivaldi.
Katherine will also be joined by the Band Of The Yorkshire Volunteers – an outstanding military band and Corps of Drums.
She said: “The venue looks spectacular and I cannot wait to come to Scarborough to perform. I absolutely love these kind of events so it will certainly be one to remember.”
The Saturdays play the venue on August 23 and McFly on August 30
