Violinists Lauren Bedford and Philip Brett will be adding another string to their bow when the play a series of concerts in the region.
The pair will be playing at three churches in July.
Laura is originally from Scarborough and was a member of the Scarborough Scarborough Area Music Centre.
She lives in Hutton Buscel and studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. When at home she can some times be found busking in Scarborough town centre.
A egular solo performer in the North of England, Lauren has working as a freelance violinist.
Philip Brett is studying for his masters degree in Switzerland. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Music in London and winner of international competitions.
“Although we are a relatively new group, we have extensive individual experience in performance and entertainment,” said Lauren. “All proceeds from these concerts will go towards the church venues and furthering our education,” she said.
Lauren and Philip are in concert are St Matthew’s Church, Hutton Buscel on July 6 at 7pm; St Mary’s, Scarborough, on July 13 at 7pm; St Peter’s and St Paul’s Pickering on July 19 at 7pm.
Pieces by Paganini, Bach and Prokofiev are on the programme. Tickets on the door are adults £5, concessions £3.50 and children £2.
