Pop group The Saturdays have been announced as the latest headline act to perform at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre.

The chart-topping five-piece will play the multi-million pound venue on Saturday August 24.

They are the are the seventh act to be announced for this summer’s line up at the venue, after tickets went on sale last month for The Wanted (14 June), Leona Lewis (12th July), Status Quo (27 July) and McFly (30 August).

Reformed ‘Madchester’ legends The Happy Monday were announced earlier this month, and will play the venue on June 22.

And Olly Murs, who packed out the venue last summer, will return this year on Thursday June 6. Tickets go on sale at The Sands tomorrow morning.
