West End hits at Spa

The Scarborough Spa orchestra welcomes two stars of musical theatre to the stage of the Grand Hall for its next gala concert.

Michelle Todd and Tom Solomon will join the orchestra for a night at the modern musicals.

Michelle wowed the crowd in Peasholm Park with songs from the movies.

Her work has included West End roles in The Sound of Music with Petula Clark and with Dame Diana Rigg and Julia Mackenzie in London’s acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim’s Follies.

She has become a favourite with audiences at the Spa, and she’ll be singing numbers from great 20th century musicals inlcuding A Little Night Music, West Side Story and Miss Saigon

Tom Solomon was voted the International Voice of Musical Theatre on BBC Radio 2. His West End pedigree includes the leads in both Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. He also starred with Tommy Steele in Scrooge at the London Palladium.

The Spa concert is on Thursday August 8 at 7.30pm.
