SINGER Will Young will appear in a mega outdoor gig in Dalby Forest next summer.
The 32-year-old, who beat Gareth Gates to claim the 2001 Pop Idol crown, will perform at the woodland venue as part of a forest tour on Friday June 29.
Tickets are £35 (subject to booking fee) and go on sale at 9am on Friday from the Forestry Commission box office tel 03000 680400 or buy online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
Organiser Paul Cody said: “In a little over a decade Will Young has proved himself a massively popular singer and multi-talented artist. His Dalby gig will be a brilliant occasion.”
He is the second big name to confirm a gig in the forest setting, the Forestry Commission last week announcing Plan B will also make his Dalby debut as part of mid-summer weekend of live music.
Proceeds from the gigs will be used to help care for local woodlands.
