Into Infinity and Beyond – that’s where Hatton School of Performimg Arts intends to take its audience for its latest show at the YMCA.
Members of the school are presenting a pantomime version of the hit film Toy Story.
It tells the tale of Woody, a cowboy figure, and hi-tech robot Buzz Lightyear and the other playthings of young boy Andy.
“If you are a fan of the highly successful movie trilogy Toy Story, then look out for this hilarious pantomime version,” said a spokesman for the school.
“We are bringing Woody, Buzz, Mr Potato Head and all your favourite characters to life in this new adaptation of the first movie, with a few characters from subsequent films also making an appearance,” she said.
“It includes Hatton’s trademark amazing dance routines, dazzling costumes, stunning vocals and of course laugh out loud comedy set to entertain all the family.”
Buzz – who is programmed to say Into Infinity and Beyond – upsets the other toys when Andy receives him as a Christmas gift and swiftly becomes the boy’s favourite.
The cast features Stuart Metcalfe playing Woody and Neil Corcoran playing Buzz Lightyear. This is the world premiere of the modern script written by Hatton’s vocal coach Janna Leith.
The show is on at the YMCA, St Thomas Street, on January 25 and 26 at 7.30pm and on Sunday January 27 at 2pm
