New twist to a classic

Are you looking for a modern version of a Christmas Show this year – the look no further than Westwood Campus in Scarborough.

Come and celebrate the spirit of Christmas with the performing arts students of Yorkshire Coast College in their adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

Written by tutors Rob Herdman, Sarah Cox and Michael Roberts, Charles Dickens’ timeless tale with a contemporary twist contains both heart-warming and heart-wrenching moments. Carol Charles is mean and frightful, and wants nothing to do with Christmas – will the three ghosts change her ways?

Westwood’s performers combine classic hymns as well as contemporary songs alongside some fabulous dance routines.

Performances will take place at Westwood Theatre in the Round, Valley Bridge Parade, Scarborough, on December 12, 13 and 14, daily at
7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale now at £6 and £4 for concessions – to book just pop in to the campus, near Tesco, or call Scarborough (01723) 361960.
