Scarborough Spa Complex will host a unique national event which will bring together leading names, high profile works and performances from the world of art.
The inaugural Art Party Conference, designed to place the spotlight on the country’s artistic heritage and future, will be held at there in November.
The first event of its kind, it will celebrate the best regional and national creative talent and provide a forum for key speakers and public debate on key art topics and issues.
The Art Party Conference been organised by artists Bob and Roberta Smith in conjunction with Crescent Arts and Sheffield International Venues, which operates Scarborough Spa.
Bob Smith, one of the artists who has jointly organised the conference, said: “The Scarborough Spa is a such a creative and unique venue and the perfect location for the inaugural Art Party Conference.
“Anyone can join The Art Party - all you have to do is make some art and encourage others to do so! We are looking forward to welcoming lots of creative minds to a fantastic venue and sparking some really good debates.”
As well as debate, the conference will feature an art fair and showcase installations, performances and film and video screenings.
