Model turned actress Abi Titmuss and the rest of the cast of Muddy Cows have been currying favour with Scarborough Tandoori.

The Indian restaurant in St Thomas Street weclomed Abi, her co-stars, which include Casualty actress Elizabeth Carling, and playwright John Godber.

The world premiere of the Godber comedy is at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough on July 4 and runs in repertory until August 31.

A scene in the show, which follows the fortunes of a women’s rugby union team, is set in a local Indian restaurant, and co-owner of Scarborough Tandoori Abdul Ali has been helping out with the design of that scene, and is lending a variety of props to the theatre.

A revival of Alan Ayckbourn’s Time of my Life opens the summer season at the Stephen Joseph Theatre on Thursday June 6 and runs in repertory until October 4. Aycbourn’s new play Arrivals and Departures premieres at the theatre on August 1.
