Civil war breaks out at venue

The unlikely friendship of a speedway star and a literary critic, poet and aeronautical expert in a country miles from home is celebrated in Dare Devil Rides to Jarama, an account of why so many ordinary people made the extraordinary choice to leave family and livelihoods and fight in the brutal Spanish Civil War.

The play, presented by Townsend Productions, which havs previously visited the venue with shows including The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, can be seen at the venue on Thursday March 2 at 7.45pm.

Tickets for Dare Devil Rides to Jarama are available from the box office on 01723 370541.
