Cresta Dramatic Society presents Disguises – two one-act plays by local writer Sue Wilding – at Woodend in The Crescent, Scarborough, later this month.

Both pieces deal with the issue of the faces we present to the world and the contrast with the real person underneath.

In the first play – Bohemian Like You - businessman Andrew befriends a homeless woman in a café, little realising how much she will change his outlook on life.

The second play, Here is the News, concerns lonely pensioner Alfred, who is dozing in his chair when young Peco knocks on his door. It was performed at Saltburn Drama Festival where David Irwin and John Connor Halkyard-Burrows won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor trophies.

It is on Friday June 16 and Saturday June 17, daily at 7.30pm. Tickets £7.
