After receiving rave reviews for his Edinburgh Fringe Festival show, comedian Christian Reilly heads to Scarborough Spa on Saturday.
He is the headline act for the Last Laugh Comedy Club.
The guitar wielding comic’s Edinburgh show Songs of Praise was held in such high acclaim it earned him praise from the likes of Bill Bailey, Rich Hall and stand-up critic Kate Copstick.
The musician performs songs that are satirical, often silly, and always funny, taking aim at cultural and political figures, mixing current affairs in with a dose of surrealism and controversy.
Compere for the evening is also another recognisable face. Following a nine-year break from stand-up to become a professional wrestler, Geordie comic Steffen Peddie has returned to the scene and this has led to him landing him the part as Big Keith in the BBC 2 sitcom Hebburn and his own evening at the popular Newcastle comedy club The Stand.
They are joined on the bill by Canadian comic Dana Alexander who after moving to the UK in 2011 has been such a hit on the comedy circuit.
She has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News and BBC3’s Edinburgh Comedy Festival Live.
Helen Broadbent, the Spa’s general manager, said: “This is one of the best line ups the Last Laugh Comedy Club has had since it started, don’t miss it.”
Doors open at 7pm and the show gets under way at 8pm.
