Drama workshops based on books by Roald Dahl and Julia Donaldson, are on offer at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough this summer.
The sessions are suitable for for youngsters aged four to seven and eight to 12 and cost £10 a day.
Youngsters can work with a team of theatre professionals led by Diana Logan, have lots of fun and get brilliantly creative. Each day is different, and the aim is to produce a ‘play in a day’.
Tuesday August 13 and Wednesday August 14: play in a day based on The Twits by Roald Dahl (eight to 12s).
Tuesday August 13 and Wednesday August 14: The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl (four to sevens).
Tuesday August 19 and Wednesday August 20: devised piece called X Marks the Spot! (eight to 12s).
Tuesday August 19 and Wednesday August 20: The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson (four to sevens).
Denise Gilfoyle, head of Outreach at the theatre, said: “We’ll be producing a play in a day, which means that parents can see the end result.”
