THE actor who created the role of ‘Rocky’ in the original stage version of the Rocky Horror Show has accepted a new role as director of a play which comes to the Scarborough Spa on Thursday October 27.

Rayner Bourton was part of a cast in the original 1973 version with actors such as Tim Curry, Julie Covington and Richard O’Brien and has since directed versions of the show around the world.

The play, Paint It White, is about the life of painter and decorator Gary Edwards who has dedicated his life to watching Leeds United football club wherever they play.
