SCARBOROUGH writer Roger Osborne’s first play The Art Of Persuasion will premiere at the Stephen Joseph Theatre on October 28-29.
Mr Osborne wrote and developed The Art Of Persuasion at Write Stuff, the adult writing class which is run by the theatre’s OutReach department.
Joining the cast is Samuel Taylor who is originally from Scarborough. He was a member of the SJT Youth Theatre and performed in Forty Years On, which was the first play to be performed in The McCarthy in 1996.
He also received the Alan Ayckbourn acting scholarship, providing him with the opportunity to perform in 50 Years New, the 50th anniversary celebrations at the theatre in 2005.
Chris Monks will direct this workshop performance. The cast also includes Janine Birkett (The Snow Queen, SJT) and Mark Stratton (The Tempest, Northern Broadsides).
