We’re Going to Live Forever – will resound at the Stephen Joseph Theatre where youngsters from Graham School are presenting Fame.
A cast of 35 singers, actors and dancers are presenting the Broadway hit musical which is based on the TV series.
Fame follows the lives of the students of the New York School of Performing Arts.
“The stories you will hear are as relevant today as they were back in the 80s when the original film and TV series came out,” said head of performing arts at Graham, Ruth Parker-Wakeling.
“However we wanted our version to go beyond just the stories of these students. We wanted to look at the how fame is represented in the tabloids and we wanted to say something about the lack of funding in the arts in today’s society.
“I am incredibly proud of all the students who are involved in this production, not just the actors, dancers and singers but those working behind the scenes as well,” she said.
The production runs at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough from Wednesday March 5 to Friday March 7, daily at 7pm.
Tickets are on sale through the theatre box office.
