SEAL or no Seal?!

Telly legend Noel Edmonds made a surprise visit to Scarborough on Saturday to film a segment of a TV show which will be aired later this year.

The star of Channel 4’s Deal or No Deal spent time with the seals and otters who reside at Scarborough Sea Life Centre during his trip, but the main reason for his visit was to see the 10 Humboldt Penguins.

Many visitors to the centre also got to get up close with Noel, as he happily posed for photos and signed autographs.

Surprised visitor Gail Spencer said: “I can’t believe I’m seeing Noel Edmonds here in Scarborough.

“When we planned to visit the Sea Life Centre today we never dreamed we would bump into him.”

In 2009 the 62-year-old former Telly Addicts and Noel’s House Party host presented Noel’s HQ, a live TV show which featured Scarborough West End star Ben Ellis and followed the progress of a new musical campaign for under-privileged children.

Noel spent most of Saturday afternoon at the centre looking around and visiting all the animal enclosures.
