Ivor Novello, Beethoven, Caruso and Chopn are some of the subjects of the new series of Thursday concerts at Scarborough Library next year.

Pianist Frank James, violinist Phillip Mindenhall, organist Howard Beaumont andnarrators Geoff Druett and Maria Billington are among the artistes taking part.

The winter-spring season starts with the Ivor Novello story on January 10.

Taking part are in the Ivor Novello Story Martin Hewitt (piano), Phillip Mindenhall (violin) and Maria Billington (narrator).

Howard Beaumont is on January 17 followed by tenor Martin Neil Dunn accompanied by Frank James on January 24.

Maria also narrates the Beethoven Story on January 31 with Frank James on piano. Frank enjoys a solo spot on February 7.

Valentine’s Day sees Geoff Druett introduce a programme of music and on February 21 John Mitchell (baritone) and Frank James (piano) play the venue. The Tchaikovsky Story is onFebruary 28.

All concerts start at 12.30pm. Admission is by donation.
