The Old Town was transformed into Walmington- On- Sea, set in 1944, for the film of hit TV show Dads Army in 2016. Bridlington High Street was lined with many cheering and flag waving 1940s renactors.
The BBC drama may usually be filmed over in West Yorkshire, but last year film crews were spotted filming along Bridlington seafront. The fifth series of the show is currently airing on BBC One.

The popular period drama on ITV used Flamborough Head as a stand in for the beaches of the Isle of Wight, Queen Victorias favourite summer holiday destination during the latest series of the show.
The camp was used as a filming location for the 1947 British comedy drama film Holiday Camp. The camp was built in 1939 and after welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors it closed in 1983.
BBC created two feature-length dramas for to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the historic heist in 1963. Filming took place across Yorkshire for the dramas with part taking place in Filey.
British period medical drama The Royal was a spin-off from popular show Heartbeat and broadcast from 2003 to 2011. During its run scenes were filmed in Scarborough as well as Whitby.
This 2017 film starring Martin Freeman was a supernatural thriller that filmed at several locations across Yorkshire. A number of scenes were filmed in Hornsea and along the coast in 2016.
This film starring Daniel Day Lewis used the scenic views of Whitby as the backdrop for the movie which was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar at the 2018 edition of the awards ceremony.
This BBC One comedy which was released last year put Scarborough on the TV map. Filmed in the summer the show, starring Jason Manford and Catherine Tyldesley, showcased the wonderful scenery.
The third series of Yorkshire writer Kay Mellors drama was set and filmed on the coast. The series follows the lottery win of a staff syndicate at a crumbling stately home in Scarborough.
This celebrity station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway became Hogsmeade Station in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It also featured as Aidensfield in the ITV programme Heartbeat.
Castle Howard has been used as Kensington Palace in the ITV drama Victoria, another royal residence, since the first series. It's most famous for its appearance in Brideshead Revisited
This Amazon Prime show starring Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond landed in Whitby to film back in 2016.
