However, this year the event will be going virtual due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Having grown from the first small event in 2011, the fair has become the coast’s largest recruitment fair of its kind with more than 40 employers and 800 people visiting last year.

This year’s fair will be a two-hour event running from 10am on Wednesday, March 10 and will take place on the Scarborough Job Fair Facebook page and the Jobcentre Twitter page @JCPinHumber.

The organisers will also be sharing vacancies with a network of community partners for people who cannot access the internet.

With a host of employers involved there will be a plenty of job postings and recruitment messages from companies looking for staff. Job seekers can look back at job postings at any time so these should be great platforms to visit for anyone looking for work in the future.

Organisers said: “We always wanted to mark our 10th year in operation with something special and the 2021 Job Fair will certainly be different!

“Even in these incredibly challenging times both for the economy and our community we felt it was even more important to make sure the job fair went ahead.

“We have worked hard to create a new style event that will still allow us to showcase jobs and apprenticeships in the Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby areas.”
