Emily Bentley said: “We’re thrilled to have been given the opportunity to re-open the cafe within Debenhams at Brunswick.

“Our ethos is to serve tasty and healthy food using produce from local suppliers wherever possible, and I think that’s something that appealed to the Debenhams team.

“We’re also committed to embedding ourselves within the business communities in which we’re located and in the short time we’ve been trading in Scarborough, we’ve engaged with the Brunswick Shopping Centre to help spread the word about our opening. That’s something we’re looking to build on over the coming weeks and months as we become more established in the area.”

Sam Shutt, head of food and partnership for Debenhams said “The team at Bentley's have been great to work with so far and have really fitted well into our partnership model. It is great to be able to work with local and regional operators to allow us to re-introduce food and beverage into our stores for our valued customers, and the feedback we have had so far has been fantastic.”

Bentley’s also runs cafes in Middlesbrough, Scunthorpe and Beverley.

Martin Smith said: “When we opened our very first café in Coulby Newham in Middlesbrough, it was because Emily, Helen and I had a real passion for food and a desire to serve delicious food that really championed local supplies.

“Now, just one year later we’re running five cafes across the North East, North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and are actively looking for other opportunities to expand the Bentley’s portfolio nationally.”
