Morrisons Cafes is extending the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme throughout the week, which will mean that meal prices will be slashed by 50 per cent from Monday to Sunday.

The government-funded scheme operates from Monday to Wednesday.

However, Morrisons is funding the 50 per cent discount through the rest of the week.

Customers will now be able to get a Full English Breakfast for £1.62, Fish & Chips for £2.25 and Bangers & Mash for £1.75.

These prices will be available throughout the week and also include the 15% cut in VAT.

Hot drinks will drop by more than 50 per cent, meaning customers can pick up a barista-prepared coffee or a cup of Yorkshire Tea for just 50p.

To enable more families to eat out this August, Morrisons is also letting kids eat free all day.

Morrisons hopes the reduced prices will help budget-conscious families to enjoy a meal out.

Ali Lyons, Head of Cafes at Morrisons, said: "We want as many customers as possible to be able to take advantage of Eat Out to Help Out.

"Many customers visit our stores later in the week, so we’re extending this offer throughout the week so they can enjoy half price meals too.”
